Orlet and availability

Orlet is an iPhone app developed by Mehdi Oudghiri, for iOS 18 and later. App Store publication of version 1 is being prepared. This page describes its features and Pro offer; this site does not process subscriptions.

Use and limits

The app compares the texts provided and performs literal checks of numbers, dates, links and chosen elements. Dates are not validated, and currencies must be added explicitly to the elements to preserve. Matching occurrences do not validate their context. Orlet does not generate a revision or certify meaning, facts, authorship or the origin of a text.

Unicode inspection makes some characters and encodings readable. It is not a Claude or OpenAI statistical watermark detector, and it does not remove characters automatically. You remain responsible for imported content, its use and reviewing it before sending. Only import content you are authorized to use.

Your texts and supported formats

You keep your rights to your texts. Processing, the draft, library, versions and profiles stay on your device, without Orlet iCloud synchronization. Source files remain unchanged; JSON exports contain plain text. See the privacy policy for retention and contact details.

Inside the app, import UTF-8 TXT or Markdown, or an Orlet JSON export. Sharing from Notes and compatible apps also accepts RTF and PDFs with extractable text, without preserving their formatting. No OCR or direct import of Word files, Pages files or collaboration links is included. Sharing is limited to one document or selection, 10 MB, 100 PDF pages and 40,000 UTF-16 units. Comparison and inspection are limited to 40,000 UTF-16 units per text. Limits and shortened previews are reported; text is never silently truncated to save a draft.

Library, versions and profiles

Pro lets you create named documents, add saved versions and create or reuse profiles of elements to preserve. The library accepts up to 100 documents, 20 versions per document and 20 profiles; each profile holds up to 20 elements of at most 200 UTF-16 units. The library file is limited to 64 MB. Reaching a limit does not automatically delete or replace existing work.

Orlet Pro subscriptions

Both subscriptions include the same Pro features: one month for €4.99 or one year for €39.99 in France, with no free trial. Apple’s localized price and duration are displayed in the app before confirmation. Prices may differ across Apple storefronts.

Apple handles payment and charges the Apple Account upon confirmation. The subscription automatically renews at the end of its duration until canceled. Manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions before the next renewal; see Apple’s instructions. Access remains tied to verified Apple transaction status, including expiry or revocation. Apple handles refund requests under its rules: request a refund.

“Restore purchases” recovers active Pro access for the Apple Account used; it does not restore deleted local documents. After Pro expires, comparing and inspecting remain free, existing documents remain readable, openable, recoverable as copies and exportable, and profiles remain readable. Creating new documents or versions and creating or reusing profiles requires Pro. Canceling or uninstalling does not automatically erase exported files; uninstalling does not cancel a subscription.

Apple license (EULA)

For App Store distribution, Apple’s standard license applies: Apple Terms of Use (EULA).

Apple’s applicable payment and refund terms also apply, without removing users’ statutory rights.

Support and changes
