Your local register and private iCloud
Louevo stores equipment, client names, rentals, dates, quantities, rates, instructions, observations, kits, drafts, selected photos, captions and operation history locally. This data remains available offline. Louevo does not use a business account and does not send the register to a Louevo server or RevenueCat.
Sync is enabled by default. When it is enabled and your iCloud account is available, the register is automatically transferred to your private CloudKit database, hosted by Apple and specific to your iCloud account. This lets you access stock, rentals, returns and their history, photos, kits and drafts on your devices using the same account. This copy is not a public database or shared with other Louevo users. The developer does not have access to the contents of your private database in production.
In Settings → iCloud, you can turn off “Sync with iCloud” to stop future transfers on this device without deleting local or remote copies. A transfer already in progress may finish. This setting is stored locally and does not stop syncing on your other devices.
When sync is enabled, transfers are attempted after changes and when the app opens. While the app remains in the foreground, remote changes are also checked approximately every 45 seconds. Offline changes remain on the device until the next transfer. Receipt time depends on the network, iCloud availability and your storage space. The full transferred copy, including photos, is limited to 10 MB; if the transfer does not complete, the local register is retained.
Independent changes are reconciled. If changes to the same record are incompatible or there is a stock conflict, a remote copy is retained locally for review and sync is paused without replacing the register with that incompatible version. A local safeguard associates the register with a hash of its iCloud account’s technical identifier and keeps the last common reference; changing accounts pauses transfers to prevent registers from being mixed.
Sync does not transfer Pro entitlements, RevenueCat transactions or identifiers, or local pilot recognition into the iCloud register. Apple processes data hosted in iCloud under its own rules and protections. The content receives no additional application-level encryption from Louevo; we do not promise end-to-end encryption independent of Apple’s protections.
The rates you enter are used for estimates. Louevo does not process rental payments or deposits and does not collect your clients’ bank cards. Avoid entering personal information that is not useful for a rental or keeping photos of people without a reason appropriate to your business.
Photos, PDFs and backups
The Photos picker provides access to the images you choose. Newly selected images are resized and re-encoded without their original EXIF/GPS metadata; this does not conceal visible people, documents or places. Photos recovered from a backup are checked but are not re-encoded to remove their metadata.
PDFs are generated locally and may contain the client, notes, journal and photos. You choose their recipient in Apple’s share sheet. Manual export and restore tools are available for recovery if a problem occurs, without being a normal step in syncing. A JSON copy exported to Files may contain the entire register in plain text, including photos and history. Check the content and choose a trusted location before sharing or exporting.
A remote service chosen in Files or a sharing app processes the copy under its own rules. Louevo cannot delete copies already received by third parties. iOS system backups may also retain app data depending on your settings. The register has no additional application-level encryption; device protections are separate.
Preferences and purchase verification
Local preferences store, among other things, completion of the introduction, whether sync is enabled on this device, continued access to included tools for pilot users, the date of the last successful recovery export and indications that a purchase is awaiting approval or verification. The sync safeguard and its common reference are also kept locally, separately from purchases. A confirmed purchase that still needs verification may also retain its product, transaction identifier and date, current/original RevenueCat technical user identifiers and the test or production environment locally. This indication is not a Pro entitlement.
Pilot recognition applies only to this installation; it is not synced across devices and is not an Apple subscription. Deleting and reinstalling the app may cause this preference to be lost. Syncing or recovering the register and restoring purchases do not automatically restore it.
The indication and its anchor are removed when an active entitlement is recognized or when that exact transaction is recognized as ended through expiration without a grace period or a refund. Ambiguous situations and older pending states without an anchor may still require verification. No full receipt, payment method or register content is stored in this anchor.
Apple and RevenueCat subscriptions
Apple processes payments and provides the transaction information used to determine Pro entitlements. Louevo does not obtain your bank details. Localized prices, the period and renewal are presented before purchase confirmation.
RevenueCat is used to load offers, verify and restore entitlements, monitor renewals and resolve subscription issues. It receives necessary information about products, corresponding transactions or receipts, dates, subscription status and the Apple environment, as well as the price, currency and storefront country when available. SDK requests include a technical customer identifier generated by RevenueCat and necessary technical information about the app, device and network connection.
Louevo does not send client names, rentals, their entered rates, notes or photos as RevenueCat attributes. The app does not automatically provide your name, email or phone number to RevenueCat and does not use this identifier for advertising across apps. This identifier is pseudonymous: it does not make purchase information absolutely anonymous. A voluntary support request may allow information needed for its diagnosis to be linked.
Subscription operation and verification are used to provide the requested service. Limited monitoring of renewals and issues serves the developer’s legitimate interest in operating and improving the service; objections are examined according to their scope and applicable obligations. Louevo does not include an advertising SDK or register marketing integration.
RevenueCat acts as a service provider under its data processing agreement, which describes safeguards for international transfers that may include the United States. Its practices are detailed in its privacy policy. Apple also applies its privacy policy.
Retention and historical copies
The register and its journal are kept on the device and in the current iCloud copy, with no automatic deletion after a fixed period. Canceling or archiving a rental does not delete its record. iCloud sync is not a historical backup: a synced deletion from the current register may appear on other devices. It does not delete shared PDFs or earlier recovery copies.
Recovery copies are kept locally before certain migrations, restores and changes received from iCloud, including when a file cannot be read. Incompatible remote versions are also retained for review. No automatic deletion period is set for these copies. They are not a complete history synced across your devices.
Older temporary PDF files are cleaned up during a subsequent generation, with no guarantee of deletion at a specific time. This does not delete files already exported or copies or PDFs held elsewhere. Deleting the app does not stop an Apple subscription or automatically delete the iCloud register, external copies or system backups. Reinstalling with the same iCloud account may recover the current copy that is still present.
Subscription data is retained for as long as necessary for subscription operation, issue resolution and applicable obligations. Its necessity is reviewed; no automatic deletion after a fixed period is promised. Support messages are limited to handling your request and necessary follow-up.
Deleting a RevenueCat customer record does not cancel the Apple subscription. Subsequent app use, a restore or a purchase may recreate subscription information. Deleting data already held and stopping future processing are separate requests. The developer examines their scope before confirming an action; no automated stop or complete deletion of Apple transactions is promised.
Support and your requests
If you contact support, only your message and the details you choose to send are received. Do not send a full register, client photos, an Apple password, a key or a full receipt with an initial request. Transaction or technical user identifiers are requested separately only when needed for diagnosis.
You can write to the developer to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or to object to the subscription or support data they process. The developer cannot remotely view your local register or the private content of your iCloud account, or delete those copies for you. You make corrections in the app and manage your iCloud storage through your Apple account. The scope of the request and the information strictly necessary to verify it are examined without asking for your Apple account password. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
